Rhaphidophora celatocaulis
£30.00
Rhaphidophora celatocaulis is a graceful climbing aroid admired for its lush, glossy green foliage and elegant vining habit. Native to the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia, it naturally climbs trees using aerial roots, where warm temperatures, high humidity and filtered light allow it to flourish beneath the forest canopy.
When grown on a moss or coco coir pole, Rhaphidophora celatocaulis develops just as it would in nature, with its aerial roots anchoring into the support as it climbs. It prefers bright, indirect light, evenly moist but well-draining soil, and appreciates moderate to high humidity. Given the right conditions, it is a rewarding and relatively easy species to grow.
Spiritual Botany Connection
Rhaphidophora reminds us that growth is a journey, not a destination. It doesn’t rush towards the light; it climbs steadily, one step at a time. Like the forest itself, it teaches us that patience, consistency and trust in the process often lead us exactly where we are meant to be.
Every plant is a unique expression of nature, so the plant you receive may not be the exact one shown in the photographs. Leaf size, shape and growth habit will naturally vary from one individual to another.
You may also notice the occasional blemish, scar or imperfect leaf. Some may be flowering, some may not be. To us these are not flaws; they are part of the plant’s journey. In the cloud forests, leaves are shaped by rain, insects, wind and time. They tell a story of a living being, not a factory-made product.
At The Cloudscaper, we celebrate these natural expressions and only send healthy, carefully selected plants that we would be proud to grow ourselves.
