Lepanthes rhodophylla

Price

£55.00

Lepanthes rhodophylla is a striking miniature orchid from the cloud forests of Ecuador, admired for its beautifully coloured foliage and elegant, cascading growth habit. The name rhodophylla means “red leaf,” referring to the attractive reddish and purple tones often found on the undersides of the leaves, making this species ornamental even when not in flower.

Unlike many Lepanthes that form tight clumps, Lepanthes rhodophylla develops a more graceful and spreading habit, producing long flowering stems that weave amongst the foliage and create a wonderfully natural cloud forest appearance. This makes it particularly attractive when grown mounted, where its growth can be fully appreciated.

Ideal for terrariums, orchidariums, and cloud forest displays, Lepanthes rhodophylla thrives in cool temperatures with high humidity and gentle air movement.
