This beautiful species is prized for its delicate micro flowers, which resemble tiny butterflies in flight, hence the name mariposa, the Spanish word for butterfly. Watering:

Lepanthes mariposa prefers a wet to nearly dry cycle. Water thoroughly, then allow the moss to approach dryness before watering again. Avoid keeping the roots constantly saturated or letting the plant dry out completely, as sudden fluctuations can stress the plant.
