Hoya Bella on mount
£20.00
Hoya bella established onto a natural cork mount, with long, graceful stems cascading freely below.
Hoya bella has a softer, more delicate growth habit than many Hoyas, producing slender trailing stems lined with fresh green leaves. When mature, it produces clusters of beautiful white star-shaped flowers with contrasting pink to deep rose centres, hanging beneath the foliage like small bouquets.
Growing on cork really suits this species, giving the roots plenty of airflow while allowing the plant to develop naturally as an epiphyte. The long trailing growth creates a wonderfully wild, botanical display.
Care
Light: Bright filtered light. Good light encourages flowering, with some gentle morning or late-afternoon sun beneficial.
Temperature: Intermediate to warm, ideally around 16–26°C. It appreciates slightly cooler conditions than many tropical Hoyas.
Water: Water the cork mount thoroughly and allow it to begin drying before watering again. Mounted plants dry much faster than potted plants, so they may require frequent watering during warm weather.
Humidity: Moderate to high humidity, ideally around 60–80%.
Airflow: Good gentle airflow around the exposed roots and cork mount is beneficial.
Feeding: Feed lightly and regularly during active growth with a dilute balanced fertiliser.
Flowering: Avoid removing old flower peduncles, as Hoyas can flower again from established flowering points.
Growing: Already established onto cork. Allow the stems to hang and cascade naturally rather than trying to keep them upright.
🌿 A beautifully established mounted Hoya with long cascading growth and delicate star-shaped flowers — natural, elegant and full of character.
