Ficus pumila ‘Arina’

Ficus pumila ‘Arina’ is a beautiful miniature climbing fig with tiny, fresh green leaves that gradually form a dense living carpet as it grows. A cultivated form of the creeping fig, it originates from a species found throughout the humid forests of East Asia, where it climbs ancient trees, rocky outcrops and moss-covered surfaces in search of filtered light beneath the canopy.

Its small leaves and naturally compact habit make it an ideal choice for terrariums, paludariums and living walls. Given something natural to climb, such as cork bark, tree fern or stone, it will gently attach itself with fine aerial roots and slowly transform the surface into a living piece of forest. It enjoys bright, indirect light, evenly moist soil and moderate to high humidity.
